The Collaborative Research business unit at GVK Biosciences is comprised of an integrated team of scientists who work with partners on drug discovery projects in a variety of therapeutic areas. Collaborative projects generally start at the hit identification stage, with the ultimate goal being identification of development candidates. GVK scientists lead the projects and carry out the research activities, including the design, synthesis, and testing of new compounds. The Discovery Chemistry group within the Collaborative Research business unit is seeking an experienced medicinal chemist. The medicinal chemist will lead interdisciplinary project teams, and work closely with computational chemists and biologists to achieve project goals.
Qualifications : Ph.D in Organic Chemistry
Experience : Minimum 5 years with excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work as a member of a project team is essential.
Position Requirements:
- Should have experience working in small molecule drug discovery in a pharma or biotech company.
- Project team leadership experience is essential.
- Experience with multiple target types (receptors, enzymes, ion channels) and therapeutic areas is required.

Description :
- Size of Library should be 500- 2000 compounds.
- Experience In handling Parellel Instruments like Radleys, Carousal, Cambiblocus, 48-96 plates.
- Exposure to use Pipettets (Single Chemical and Multi Chemical).
- Concept of Plate technology.
Position 03 : Scientist / Senior Scientist

Experience : Should have 2-5 years experience in PMC and ADME (Reactions, reaction optimization, auto purifications, evaporations, barcoding, wet sample preparation, ADME plate preparation and shipment).
Description :
- Should have knowledge on library synthesis. Success rate should be >70 %.
- Should have knowledge in multiple of 96 reactions at a time and auto purification.
- Should have knowledge in wet sample preparation (sample of proper concentration in DMSO or any solvent).
- Should handle 10-15 chemists.
- Experience in preparing plates for ADME studies.
- Should have knowledge in full instrumentation (Instruments related to parallel synthesis viz. 96-well plates, Bohdan blocks, radley's carousals, vacuum manifolds, Bohdan weighing machine, MS detected prep. HPLC etc.).
