Candidate Profile Qualification
  • Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Life Sciences preferred
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience in managing RFI / RFP / RFQ and client visits; experience in articulating and managing client facing presentations
  • Must have technical and scientific aptitude to identify and relate to customers; scientific research experience a plus
  • Experience in life science CRO is a plus
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of professional or related sales experience

Job Roles & Responsibilities
  • Manage the Discovery sales lead generation inside sales team
  • Manage the Discovery proposal team to ensure timely response to RFPs and ensure QC of customer facing proposals
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails for our Discovery Services with the goals of: increasing sales, driving revenue growth, and generating new business
  • Research accounts, identify key decision makers, profile and map accounts, and generate interest in GVK BIO drug discovery services
  • Help inside sales team develop cold call scripts and ensure accurate messaging to articulate our value proposition to prospects
  • Guide and ensure maintenance and expansion of database of prospects
  • Work in tandem with global discovery frontline sales representatives for development and closure of opportunities
  • Understand and support proposal development process, including legal aspects of proposal building process to support field sales
  • Assess and qualify potential opportunities prior to sending to field sales.
  • Liaise between technical team and drug discovery field sales and help generate and QC any customer facing content
  • Liaise with other functions (marketing, SCM, Admin, HR, delivery teams, etc.) internally based on sales team requirement
  • Help drive work priorities internally and ensure that customer expectations are met
  • Be point person for client site visits
  • Use social media to identify and penetrate prospect accounts
  • Use Salesforce.com to record all efforts
